Veterans Markers

 Veterans who served their country are entitled from the government to a free granite, bronze, or marble marker for their individual grave. The family is responsible for any costs associated with the installation of the marker on the grave. The most common markers used in our area are the granite and bronze. The granite marker is only available in grey granite and the bronze marker comes with the brown finish. A veteran's marker will contain the name, rank, branch of service, war served in, religious emblem, date of birth and death. Those families selecting the bronze marker are urged to purchase a granite base to prevent theft or damage from heavy cemetery equipment that might roll over it. The government does not provide a granite base for bronze markers.
